The BTR Platinum Spring Kit would be inducted into the LS/LT Aftermarket Hall of Fame if such a thing existed. Whether you’re putting together a daily driver with a mild cam, a 600 hp N/A stroker, or a turbocharged 1000 hp brawler, our Platinum Spring Kit will make sure your valves are right where your cam wants them to be at all times. With that said, when the Gen V LT engines came out, we knew our Platinum Springs would be right at home on the direct injection platform with the correct supporting parts. This is a drop-in kit for Gen V LT4 engines with stock valve guides and features our titanium retainers and our tip saver kit for your worn valve tips.

The kit includes:

SP001-1 0.660" lift dual polished spring (qty 16)

SR006-1 titanium retainer - intake (qty 8)

SR001-1 titanium retainer - exhaust (qty 8)

SL520060-16 locator kit for 0.520" ID stock LT4 powdered metal guides, 0.060" thick

VS LS KIT valve seal kit

VL78MMBL-.075 valve locks 7 degree 8mm -0.75" height - exhaust (8 pairs)

VL7°8MM-1 valve locks 7 degree 8mm std height - intake (8 pairs)

SS015-8 shims for stock guides - under exhaust side locator - 0.015" thick (bag of 8)

19302366 valve tip lash caps (2 bags of 8)

Spring specs are as follows:

•155 lbs @ 1.780"

•380 lbs @ 1.180"

•400 lbs @ 1.130"

•Coil bind @ 1.070"

Due to the nature of the OEM scroll-type rocker arms, use of higher lift cams and higher-than-stock spring pressures can accelerate valve tip and rocker arm pad wear. BTR's new valve tip saver kit incorporates our newly designed BTR valve locks (and BTR retainers in certain applications) in conjunction with GM lash caps, to help save valve tips, eliminating costly repairs that require cylinder head removal and replacement of damaged valves.
 

NOTE: If you already have excessive wear on the rocker arm pad, you must replace these at time of install.

NOTE: Due to the use of lash caps, pushrod length must be verified to achieve the proper lifter preload.
