This crate engine doesn't come with MDS, so it's even easier to install. All you need to address is your ECU tuning (for 1500 truck applications). This engine can also be used in passenger car and SUV applications with either tuning or a camshaft swap.

Engines are shipped crated in long block form. Engines ship with non-MDS 5.7L Ram Truck Camshaft Mopar P/N 53022314AD already installed. 

• Designed to replace 5.7 HEMI in 2018+ RAM 2500 and 3500 applications.
• Throttle Republic tuner available HERE for NON-MDS calibration changes.
• If replacing an MDS application, MDS MUST be disabled within the tune. 
• Identical to 2009+ passenger car & light truck 5.7 HEMI Longblock, except no MDS system.*

To complete a crate engine, customers will need to add: Oil pan, intake manifold, front cover, valve covers, front accessories, and exhaust manifolds.

*This truck engine can also be used in Car/Jeep/Durango applications but requires the pickup tube stud to be moved to the #1 main position for correct oil pan pickup placement. Torque specification for the main stud is 108 ft/lbs. Non-MDS car applications like 2009+ Charger R/T with manual transmission use a different camshaft. Tuning changes may be required if replacing a non-MDS passenger car engine or replace camshaft with Mopar P/N 53022064BD prior to service.
